Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie have braved the height’s of the Matterhorn as filming begins on the BBC1 adaptation of The Night Manager.
Can you imagine the glorious, picturesque Swiss Alps as your work setting each day? The cast of The Night Manager certainly can as filming began for them on March 20th. Tom Hiddleston Tweeted this photo of his ‘walk to work’ this past week….
As did his co-star, Laurie…
Simply stunning!!
This highly anticipated six-episode espionage thriller will also feature Broadchurch’s Olivia Colman and Tom Hollander of Rev. which Colman also co-starred in. It’s a Rev. Reunion!
Described as a contemporary interpretation of le Carré’s espionage drama, ‘The Night Manager’ will bring together love, loss and revenge in a complex story of modern criminality. The series follows former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) as he navigates the shadowy recesses of Whitehall and Washington where an unholy alliance operates between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade. To infiltrate the inner circle of lethal arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie), Pine must himself become a criminal.
I can’t believe this isn’t being released as a major feature film!
Night Manager is co-produced by BBC One, The Ink Factory and AMC…who will air the series in The U.S. and Canada. Hopefully at the same time as the UK~!
Lady Anglophile…ear muffs and snow hat on and ready to ascend the Matterhorn…preferably with Hiddleston! 😉
