The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience

March 29, 2022 – Los Angeles

Jane Austen could never have imagined that her novels would have inspired a reimagining of her beloved Regency era so naughty that one could not get their bonnet on for trying. But inspired they did and the result was Netflix’s Emmy-nominated hit series, Bridgerton, based on Julia Quinn’s best selling romance novel series. Created by Chris Van Dusen, Bridgerton became Shonda Rhimes’s first scripted show for Netflix. The series revolves around the eponymous Bridgerton family as they embark on another year of “doing the season” in hopes of marrying off their latest eligible daughter to someone noble and genteel. The result was a sexy, soapy, drama that would make the Crawley’s of Downton Abbey blush but spawned a legion of fans eager to lose themselves in an era where women dripping in tiaras and sexy men in jodhpurs can get lost in a fury of passion behind the wisteria. Enter the Bridgerton Experience~

The Anglophile Channel’s award-winning “Dish” hosts, Marlise Boland & Elyse Ashton, were invited to don their best Regency era frocks and immerse themselves in a Regency era fantasy when the Bridgerton Experience came to Los Angeles.
