The Anglophile Channel Awards is very excited to announce our Pre-Emmy Awards Red Carpet Charity Gala, “A Salute To British Entertainment”, to be held at the historic British Consulate Residence on Thursday September 15, 2016.
The residence famously played host to Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Los Angeles in 2011.
The evening will celebrate the best in British entertainment, toast to the British Emmy nominees, while raising funds for charitable organizations. Our honorees include Downton Abbey Executive Producer Gareth Neame and Creator/Writer Julian Fellowes (who will accept his award from London) who will be honored with the British Telly Legacy Awards, and British platinum recording artist and Las Vegas Headline entertainer, Matt Goss (Entertainer of the Year) who will treat guests to an exclusive performance! Also being recognized will be the winner of the audience vote for Favorite British Artist of the Year, Outlander star, Sam Heughan. Lord Fellowes will be accepting via a taped message from London and Sam Heughan will send his best wishes from the set of Outlander.
*PLEASE NOTE: We can not prevent unforeseen last minute scheduling conflicts with our honorees or any celebrities that have confirmed attendance. Thank you for your understanding.
In honor of our Downton Abbey honorees we’re inviting Fancy Dress! Grab your favorite Downton-esque fashions and join us! Remember, fancy dress is “Admired But Not Required!” So don’t worry if you don’t come dressed in fancy dress!
This year TAC has chosen to benefit UK-based charity, East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) through our silent and live auction. HRH Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge serves as Royal Patron.
EACH is a beautiful and worthwhile charity which provides support to families and care to children facing life threatening conditions.
We personally visited and toured the EACH facilities and were moved by how much love and care they give to the families dealing with these unimaginable circumstances. Learn more about EACH here: https://www.each.org.uk
