2016 Anglophile Channel Awards Nominations [VOTE]

Welcome To

The 2016 Anglophile Channel Awards

The 2016 Anglophile Channel Awards nominations have been announced and now it’s YOUR turn to VOTE for the BEST performances and artists in British entertainment!

Millions of Votes!

We received millions of votes from dedicated Anglophile Channel viewers from around the world, all voting enthusiastically for their favorite performances.  Your votes were combined with the votes from our panel of distinguished industry professionals and together we had our TOP 5 nominees in five categories: Best Actor/Actress in a Television Series, Best Actor/Actress in a Motion Picture, and Favorite British Artist of the Year…where there was a tie, so we have six nominees!

Brilliant Nominees!

We love all of the TAC nominees this year, as they’re all incredibly brilliant artists who have brought us the some of the most memorable performances in film and television, many of them pulling double duty in both! Once again, our Favorite British Artist of the Year category is made up of artists that worked in film, television and theatre…for some, all three genres in one year…all while supporting charitable causes!  Selecting which artists to honor at this year’s Anglophile Channel Awards will not be easy.

And The Winner Is…

This means that a large number of votes coming from a single Internet address will trigger a “cooldown block” to help prevent cheating. Sometimes this is tripped by many people at one location (for example in schools and offices) voting in a short period of time. TAC, its affiliates and partners are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, the Site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of voting information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one’s ability to vote, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile device relating to or resulting from participating in the voting or downloading any materials. TAC is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, technically corrupted or misdirected votes, which will be disqualified.

TAC shall use reasonable efforts to ensure the security and accuracy of all votes and the voting process (provided, however, that you acknowledge and agree that such methodologies are not infallible, and that TAC makes no guarantee as to their effectiveness).

Voting in all categories is unlimited between the voting time period listed above. All voting will be subject to verification and certification by an independent third party auditor. No automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of voting are permitted. Participants who do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or who attempt to interfere with the voting process or the operation of the Site in any way will be disqualified and their votes will not be counted. TAC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend voting should any virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the voting process. All decisions regarding the voting process shall be final and shall not be subject to challenge or appeal.

Audience votes account for 50% of the final vote, which is combined with the votes of a distinguished panel of industry professionals.  Each panelist receives a secret ballot which they fill out and mail back to TAC Studios.

All decisions regarding the voting process shall be final and shall not be subject to challenge or appeal.

  9. June Martin says:

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe deserve the win. They are superb actors recreating Jamie & Claire from Diana Gabaldon ‘s books in the Outlander series.

Just wanted to say this style of voting is really frustrating! The captchas are long and blurry and we don’t get to see the results! I’m only voting because I’m devoted to Outlander and want to see Sam & Cait win. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother. A month is far too long for a contest, especially when we have no idea how our favorites are doing. We’d all really appreciate it if that was changed.

  11. Liz says:

    Richard Armitage

  15. lradeker1218 says:

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfes’ portrayal of JAMIE & CLAIRE FRASER definitely deserve best actor & actress in a television series. Outlander deserves best television series in the scifi/Fantasy Category.

  16. Carol Megson says:

    Richard Armitage…ALWAYS!!

  17. Pingback: Armitag Army, FAnnibals…Please vote Richard Armitage, Favorite British Artist of the year, Best actor, television series, HANNIBAL…..2016 Anglophile Channel Awards Nominations [VOTE] | One Last time? Never

  18. Barbara Bell says:

I do hope your distinguished panel of judges who hold 50% of the final vote will have seen the performances of ALL the actors nominated before they cast their secret ballots. Lack of familiarity with an actor’s work has resulted in skewed votes in other awards contests. Trust your panel is better informed than that.

  19. Alexsandr says:

    David Tennant-best actor.

  20. Laurajojo says:

I understand why Aidan Turner was taken out of the Favourite British Artist category because he is Irish, but why is he still in the Best Actor category? Also Caitriona Balfe is also Irish. Bit confused.

  21. From the States we wish the “Best of Luck and Love” to win for “BBC’s” Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson for an amazing first year in Poldark, with great anticipation for an even better second year too. Hopefully there will be many more wonderful Winston Graham’s Poldark, and breathtaking Cornwall, England to come ! – So excited… we just can’t wait !

  22. Maria Jennifer Seguerra Barril says:

Are the 5 separate links to the 5 polls valid for voting? Thank you for your attention!

  24. Tessa says:

I’ve erblogged this as well as others have…Richard Armitage all the way..Nothing against the other actors nominated, this man can take any role and make it something special..Such a gifted and passionate actor..

    • I can say the same about Sam Heughan. He’s so versatile, and he IS Jamie Fraser, but he also can play any role they would give him. And hearing his sexy voice and his Scottish accent (which is not as thick in real life) is a double bonus.

  25. Robyn Barr says:

Richard Armitage , you have my vote!!!

  26. Priscilla says:

    Aidan Turner all the way!

  27. Valentina says:

    Richard Armitage forever!

  28. Sam and Caitriona are the best in their rolls as Jamie and Claire they are so sexy in their love scenes

  29. Voted for Sam Heughan he is the best everything

  30. All the Outlanders need to pull together so we can make this happen

  31. Everyone of the Outlander club members should vote for Sam and Caitriona

  32. Caitriona is a really great actress she is a beautiful and smart person and I love her in her role as Claire

  33. Edie Sine says:

    Sam…Sam and Sam again!

  34. Peter Chalk says:

SamHeughan Favourite British artist of the year

  35. Priscilla says:

Aidan Turner the very, very best!

  36. Maree Edwards says:

Aidan Turner is an outstanding actor and absolutely smashes everything he is in.

  37. Sam /Jamie is the most outstanding person of interest he is amazing when he is playing his role and he is the sexist man when he smiles

Made my votes for Richard Armitage for everything. Besides Maggie Smith, there’s no one else that’s a versatile as he is or does as much. Handsomest man around, best and most versatile actor…no question in my book! Richard Armitage all the way!

    • Tessa says:

Totally agree…All nominees are good actors, but those two are excellent in all they do…..so versatile is correct, so underrated too….Especially Richard Armitage, his Francis Dohlarhyde was just incredible to see…with one eye closed I must say 😉

  43. Anonymous says:

    Richard Armitage 🙂

  44. Laura says:

Richard Armitage is the best 🙂

  45. Nicole says:

All the nominees are wonderful, but Sam Heughan certainly deserves the win this year. What he did in the last episodes of Outlander was more than outstanding, it was heartbreaking.

I think they each have a great future.
