The Anglophile Channel Honored with Five Nominations, National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards Including Journalist of the Year

The Anglophile Channel has been honored with 5 nominations going into tonight’s 8th Annual National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards…including Journalist of the Year for Marlise Boland.

Among the nominations, TAC has been named as a finalist for the second year in a row for Best Broadcast Critics for film critics, Paul Boland and Kelly Monteith, for their classic British film review series, “Brit Flix: Kelly, Paul and (Two Buck) Chuck.

TAC also landed two nominations for Best Entertainment Feature, Long for “Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday Tribute” and Best Documentary or Special Program, Short for their special on Emmy and BAFTA award winning costume designer, “Andrea Galer: Mansfield Park, Jane Eyre and Beyond”.

First time nominee Juliette Boland, was honored in the new student category, for Best Arts/Entertainment Feature for her Whovian-centric web-series, “The Timey Wimey Show”  This summer Miss Boland covered 2015 San Diego Comic-Con and interviewed the cast of the hit BBC series, Doctor Who.

The Timey Wimey Show nominated for Best Entertainment Feature in the new student category.

Rounding out the nominations for TAC Executive Producer/Creator, Marlise Boland, nominated for Journalist of the Year. The Anglophile Channel has been Ms. Boland’s creative baby for the last three years. As Creator/Executive Producer, she is in charge of all production including:  producing, writing, casting, on-camera hosting, marketing, social media, blogging, PR outreach and more. This is the first Journalist of the Year nomination for Ms. Boland.

Boland also hosts several re-cap shows on TAC with Co-Host, Elyse Ashton.

This is the first time that a ‘family’ has received nominations by The LA Press. All three nominated Boland’s will be in attendance at tonight’s awards gala at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Celebrity honorees include Bob Barker (Legend Award), Joe Mantegna (Visionary Award) and Tavis Smiley (Luminary Award)
