The Cumberbabe decided to pop into Madame Tussauds in London to check on the progress of his wax statue….which is looking pretty darn good if you ask me.
According to Tussauds, the head is first sculpted perfectly in clay and Benedict recently attended a sitting to inspect progress and ensure a perfect likeness is achieved.
Senior Principal Sculptor, Louis Wiltshire, is seen here working on a perfect clay likeness which is then used to create the mold for the final figure in wax.
The Cumberbabe listens to his iPod to keep his mind occupied while attending his second sitting for the wax work. I wonder what he’s listening to?
Tussauds said they were inundated with requests for the incredibly popular actor who recently won an Emmy Award for his starring role in Sherlock and will next appear in The Imitation Game with Keira Knightley.
The unveiling of the wax statue is scheduled for sometime this year…and I’m sure the CumberFans are already queuing up!
Lady Anglophile….Placing an order for one, please!
I’m not a Cumberbabe but the likeness is WOW! The lips especially!!
